Minutes for February 10, 2004 Meeting

Summary of meeting:

This was a collaborative meeting for the Region V PDC Adult and Career and Technical Education TSIs and Chair with selected invitees> The purpose of the meeting was to address the need for FCAT training to meet state-requirements for adult and career and technical learners in Region V.   Ms. Doris Southern was invited to share the specifics of the training for both the area of math and reading that met state mandated training.  After discussion and a demonstration by Sharpton and Granat, it was decided that Region V PDC would make the training available in the districts that requested it.  In conversation it was decided that this would meet a high need for Region V either through the provision of the certified training or through the provision of the training material.  The Region V Adult Education TSI was instructed to arrange the training in Palm Beach and Broward if intererst was shown during May and/or June.
